July 31, 2017   “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  “Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked. “Yes,” they replied. He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” ' Matthew 13:47-52

July 16, 2017 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your word. Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Psalms 119:105-108

2017/07/9 Based on Psalm 45: 10-17

Sunday, July 9, 2017 10 Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention: Forget your people and your father’s house. 11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. 12 The city of Tyre will come with a gift ,people of wealth will seek your favor. 13 All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold. 14 In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her, those brought to be with her.15 Led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king. 16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land. 17 I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever. Psalm 45:10–17

Sharing the Legacy of Preacher Cathy This past January, my mom stepped into eternity, and life has felt different ever since. Grief has a way of slowing the world down, of making you notice the empty spaces where someone once stood. But in this month of remembering her, I’ve been overwhelmed—not just by the loss, but by the sheer number of people whose lives she touched. My mom loved God with a fierce, steady devotion. She didn’t just talk about faith; she lived it in every conversation, every prayer, every act of kindness. She had a way of seeing people—really seeing them—and offering exactly the encouragement or challenge they needed. Her words carried weight because they came from a life rooted in Scripture, compassion, and conviction. And then there was her stubbornness. Anyone who trained with her in karate knows exactly what I mean. That determination, that grit, that refusal to quit—she poured it into her students, her family, and her ministry. She inspired people to push ha...
